Day 1 The Quest Begins!

Trish Exercises: DVD Jillian Michaels Body Revolution Phase 2 (Biggest Loser) 30 minutes.
Vince Exercises: Yoga moves at home.

Day 1 is difficult! Did my best until 10 minutes ago. Chocolate chips called my name! Although, due to my blog, I passed up numerous desserts today. I know this blog will make a huge difference in my life. Writing it down makes me accountable for all I eat and motivates me to exercise!

Being tortured doing the Jillian DVD. Really works up a sweat
as you do cardio and weight interval training together. These are
my new favorite DVDs. My sister is sharing them with me.
Currently on workouts 5-8 and cardio 2.

Jillian DVD: Number 5 in series.

Running with numerous bags of
leaves. Can we count as Vince
exercising?

Morning vitamins: Krill oil and something for my joints, Vitamin D3,
vitamin C and a daily multi vitamin (compare to Centrum) from Costco.

Breakfast: 1 egg yolk, 1 egg white omelette with organic
zucchini, mushrooms, and white onion. Oatmeal with flax,
organic frozen blueberries (cheapest at Costco), green tea
and 2 cups of water during the morning exercise before breakfast.

Organic cold milled flaxseed. Great for added fiber. Use in
oatmeal, yogurt, smoothies.

Almost grabbed my husband's pills! Yikes!  LOL

Morning Snack: organic vanilla soymilk with a scoop of 100% cocoa
and no sugar added. An acquired taste, but worth it.

Lunch: Steamed yams and organic frozen broccoli. Water

Lunch: Wild caught Alaskan salmon (cheapest from Kroger)

Left over vegetable Christmas tree
that my little sister made. Good
for snacking.

Dinner: Organic Quinoa, organic chicken,
tomato, 1/2 avacado, olive oil and little salt.
Water

Bummed! I lost control and
ate a handful of chocolate
chips. I threw away most of the
left over Christmas goodies, but
not this one. Maybe I should be
allowed to have a few chipies if I
exercise and eat great all day long.
Hmmmm...thinking about it.
Also had a whole grain slice of organic bread with some crunchy peanut butter. Only peanuts and salt in it. No other ingredients.

Amazing when you begin to really look at ingredients on the labels when you shop. Most items have all kinds of ingredients that aren't even food. Almost hard to find "real food" that one can afford! Will continue my quest for real food.
